Rip Rock Arrives

Rip Rock spent the last few years hanging out with the alpacas. Today he made a new home with us and the sheep. After he gets acquainted with all the other critters, we'll put him in with the ewes.

Here's Rip Rock (and MDH, Steve) looking over at the ewes.

Here are the ewes checking out Rip Rock.

And over at the lamb pastures...

Farley is enjoying the warm weather (30 degrees, ah ya, that feels almost warm).

And Amos (Puzzle in the background) is just waiting for some attention and petting. He loves to be scratched under his chin and on the sides of his face.

I couldn't resist!

hey wait...THREE colored BFLs? I thought you only had two! Now Rip Rock is a llama right, not an alpaca? Will you keep his fleece too? I mean if you were going to keep the opossum? :)

I absoultely love Bea and Clover! Put me on your list for another white ewe lamb and colored one! (if you can part with them!)

Hi Garrett...Ya, we picked up two more NICE bred ewes from Kelly Ward, one white and one natural. They are due to lamb about one month before the rest of the ewes. So life in the barn is going to be a long one this year.

Rip Rock is a neat llama. He was over with our alpacas and now that the alpacas are going, the Ripster is going to hang with the sheep. Llama fiber.....oh ya! I just got a big bag of llama roving back from the mill (Rip Rock's and Puzzle's). It is awesome fiber.

I know we plan to keep more of our ewe lambs this year, but who knows we may have too many! Say hi to Bea and Clover for me :-)

The animals are all beautiful. I'm so glad you enjoy them that much! That is how it should be.
