Last Lambs...Lambing Done!

I want to say that the best were saved for last...but, then again all the lambs are the best, in my opinion. Our last two ewes, Edwina and Gretta, hung on until the second half of April.

Evy, born to Edwina, is lovely. As soon as she hit the ground, she exercised her lungs and started nursing right away. Edwina, a first time mom, was (and is) great!

Gabriel and Gideon, born to Gretta, were finally born last week. Gretta just kept holding on. She finally delivered two beautiful natural colored ram lambs. They were both up very soon after they hit the ground.

That's it for this season! Total 14 lambs; two died; 12 left. Seven rams, five ewes. Three natural colored (one ewe, two rams), nine white (four ewes, five rams).

We decided to keep all of our ewes and will be selling the ram lambs.
