Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival

At the last minute we decided to take the Lake Ferry to Jefferson, WI to attend the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival. We didn't take any sheep but wanted to watch the judging by the British sheep judge who judged the Bluefaced Leicesters and the First Annual Mule Show. It was very interesting.

During the Mule Show the British judge had the sheep run around the show ring unattended. That way he can judge how they move and other characteristics. That's how they judge sheep shows in the UK. It was very interesting. I don't have any pics of the Mule Show because I was busy helping out. But here's some pics of the Bluefaced Leicesters being judged by the British judge.

Look at the group of Blues waiting to go in the show ring.
Next week is the alpaca show in Birch Run, MI. More on that to follow.
