Good News, Sad News

Sad News: Well, I guess it has to happen at some point. We lost two ewe lambs last week. Both were from the set of triplets that arrived on March 8th. It appears the first one (Meris) was suffocated by her mom. The second one (Mercy, the natural color one) just didn't seem to thrive after a few days. The ewe was sick after delivering the triplets (is doing fine now) and I think that had something to do with it. Merlin, the last of the three, is doing great!

Good News: All other lambs are doing good! A few of them were born with springs in their legs. Just a hoppin' and boppin' around. Seven remaining lambs (four ewes and three rams), one ewe (Shonah) is ready to lamb this week, and two in about four weeks or so.
